In February 2014 Orwell launched the PEL Baby Jaws & Mega Jaws Glass Bottle Crushers at the Gulfood2014 Exhibition in Dubai, the worlds largest Hospitality & Catering Equipment Exhibition with 4500 exhibitors. Baby Jaws scooped Gulfood’s most prestigious award " The Gulfood2014 Best New Catering Equipment Innovation Award”. The Baby Jaws unit is the only under counter bottle crusher in the world. Mega Jaws is designed for busy 4 & 5 Star Hotel function rooms, restaurants, discos, bars, clubs and entertainment venues, with the capacity to crush 700 bottles in 15 minutes.
Baby & Mega Jaws reduce empty glass bottle bulk by 80%, transforming the waste into "CULLETS" a valuable raw material for use in the manufacture of new glass bottles.
With the technical Integrity, and self-financing, profit enhancing aspect of Baby Jaws & Mega Jaws installations proven in the worlds leading 4 & 5 star hotel groups, Orwell then focused on the potential of introducing glass bottle recycling added value.
In April 2015 Orwell International created and successfully launched “The World’s First National Glass Bottle Sustainable Closed Self Financing Loop Recycling Concept” in Dubai. The combination of the Orwell Glass Bottle Waste Reduction & Closed Loop Recycling Programs has the potential to divert billions of empty glass bottles away from landfill directly into the manufacture of new glass bottles in The Middle East, Asia and Africa.
